Boys Hope Girls Hope of Greater New Orleans

Boys Hope Girls Hope of New Orleans is a proud member of the Boys Hope Girls Hope Network. Our Network Headquarters, located in St. Louis, Missouri, connects, provides leadership to, and offers signature college-preparatory programming to help motivate middle, high school, and post-secondary students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds. Our goal is to graduate young people who are physically, emotionally, and academically prepared for post-secondary education and productive life, breaking barriers so they can become community-minded leaders.

Covenant House New Orleans

CHNOLA is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Much more than “just a shelter,” we provide supportive counseling and the tools needed to help our youth become independent members of our community.

Son of a Saint

Provides mentorship, education, recreation, camaraderie, cultural enrichment, and emotional support to our mentees. We are helping to fill the void for hundreds of fatherless young men in New Orleans.

STAIR-Start the Adventure in Reading

STAIR students are matched with a dedicated volunteer for weekly tutoring sessions. These one-on-one tutoring sessions are tailored to each individual student's ability. STAIR is offered to families at no charge.

Youth Empowerment Project (YEP)

YEP engages underserved young people through community-based education, mentoring and employment readiness programs to help them develop skills and strengthen ties to family and community.

Youth Rebuilding New Orleans (YRNO)

Silverback Society

The Silverback Society is a nonprofit organization that supports, trains and coordinates over 150 men who volunteer and are committed to making a positive impact on more than 600 boys and young men, currently in 20 schools and growing, in the New Orleans and Gulf Coast area.

STEM NOLA

Design and deliver STEM-based activities, programs, and events for students in grades K–12 to inspire their interest in STEM, help them develop 21st century skills, and expose them to STEM professionals. STEM NOLA's programs are culturally and environmentally relevant, and they use fun and hands-on learning to engage students.

The mission of the Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families is to build a strong foundation for future generations of New Orleanians by engaging youth and community input into city government decisions affecting young people, improving coordination between agencies, expanding resources, and ensuring equitable policymaking.

JOB1 YouthWorks serves hundreds of youth throughout the City of New Orleans. Youth from diverse backgrounds come to the JOB1 YouthWorks Career Center to find jobs, explore careers, pursue education goals, develop their leadership skills, and receive comprehensive guidance and counseling.

Job Corps

Job Corps provides free career training and education for low-income 16- through 24-year-olds. Here, students get the experience they need to begin a career or apprenticeship, go on to college, or join the military.

Jobs for America's Grads (JAG)

JAG-LA provides an educational setting that promotes academic and skills attainment, civic responsibility, leadership development and social awareness that is necessary to become a responsible citizen and productive worker.

Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO)

Enrolling in the Southern University at New Orleans Dual Enrollment Program allows scholars to accumulate college credits while still in high school, thus providing a smoother transition to college after high school graduation.

Loyola University of New Orleans

At Loyola University New Orleans, we aim to make it as seamless as possible for you to apply that hard-earned dual enrollment credit toward your degree. Learn more about concurrent enrollment and how you can transfer credits to enhance your college experience. You may even be eligible to cut an entire year of tuition costs through our Degree in Three program.

Tulane University

SoPA offers a concurrent enrollment program for outstanding high school students. The concurrent enrollment program offers qualified 11th and 12th grade students the opportunity to get an early start on their college education.

University of New Orleans

High school juniors and seniors in good academic standing can enroll in college courses at UNO, provided they meet the minimum admission requirements and a course set up through their high school.

Dillard University

Dillard University admits applicants who possess high standards of scholarship, serious and realistic educational goals, potential for service and leadership, and the personal characteristics of honesty, loyalty and self-respect. The university does not make any distinction as to religion, race, or gender in the admission of its students.

Delgado Community College

Independent dual enrollment students, or students wishing to take advanced dual enrollment courses not offered by your high school may enroll as Early College Academy students.

Nunez Community College

Dual Enrollment is a program designed to offer qualified students an opportunity to earn high school and college credits simultaneously. These credits help students get a head start in their education or training before graduating high school. When high school students dual enroll with Nunez Community College, they officially begin their academic journey to complete a certificate, Associate degree, and/or Bachelor's degree.

University of Holy Cross

UHC welcomes students from all high schools, including public, private, parochial, home schooled and charter schools throughout the region. Public high school students attend tuition-free through funding from the Louisiana Course Choice/Supplemental Program.

Xavier University

Currently enrolled high school students within the Greater New Orleans Area and outer lying parishes, including home school students, are eligible to apply for Xavier’s Concurrent Enrollment program. Typically, participation in concurrent enrollment is limited to incoming 11th and 12th grade students, with consideration to students in 9th and 10th grade provided on a case-by-case basis. All concurrent enrollment program participants must demonstrate readiness for rigorous postsecondary course work and the collegiate environment while still in high school. Participants must meet all prerequisites for the courses in which they are seeking to enroll.
